Sparking Joy in Strategy, Systems, and Skincare

We believe marketing wins don’t have to be dry case studies. They can (and should) spark a little joy, too. Last week we blended tech, teamwork, and long-term planning into results everyone felt great about. Here’s the breakdown of what made this week very good.

AI in the City: Smarter Solutions for Client Outreach

We started the week by connecting our NYC-based client with two AI developers from our network (thanks Vistage). The goal: explore ways AI can support more personalized client outreach, streamline inbound customer service inquiries for our online brand, and strengthen their overall tech stack. These conversations are setting the stage for proposals and projects that help this client work smarter, not harder.

CRM Clean-Up for Better Funnel Visibility

We’ve seen a lot of success and momentum with our UK based client who sells industrial labels and stickers to transportation giants. But, Tuesday was all about sharpening their prospecting game and making sure all leads are accounted for. We identified the gaps and helped clean up their CRM, leaving them with clearer data, a smoother pipeline, and a better shot at converting high-quality leads. Have you ever seen sales and marketing work so well together?

Midweek: Donuts and Details

Wednesday meant a packed meeting agenda, new faces and ample sugar highs at HSP Diesel. We welcomed a new social media manager (you may have heard about how we helped hire for this role in a past Very Good Things), supporting a key team member preparing for maternity leave, adding a Plum Magento expert, onboarding a new and improved Google Ads/SEO vendor, and officially launching EOS Level 10 meetings for the marketing crew. To tie it all together, we mapped the full team’s work in Asana, complete with approval automations. And, we only fought for a few minutes over the apple fritter (yes, we let the pregnant lady have it).

Q4 Glow Up: Black Friday Beauty Planning

Our first-ever client, and the reason we now have a nine-step skincare routine, had their Q4 promo planning session on Thursday. After blowing BFCM out of the water in 2024, the challenge this year is to top last year’s results without resorting to deeper discounts. Our solution: refresh the offer, design a campaign storyline around eye care, and build a subscription push that lasts beyond Q4. Working together for multiple years means is great and allows us to use institutional knowledge to make better long term decisions – as business partners.

Prime Sponsorship Placement

We ended the week by collaborating on an industry sponsorship package for an e-commerce client. This opportunity includes prime Black Friday / Cyber Monday newsletter placement, ensuring they’ll be front and center during the busiest shopping season of the year. Right audience, right inbox, right time.

Why These Wins Matter

From AI pilots to CRM clean-ups, donuts to promo planning, last week proved that strategic marketing is about building systems, partnerships, and stories that last. And when all those pieces come together? That’s what we call very good things.
